About Us

Clean Threads has been offering industrial weed spraying, mowing and seeding since 2007. We are committed to providing exceptional vegetation control for all of our customers, regardless of how big or small the job.  Dodd Ulrich is a Licensed Pesticide Applicator and all employees of Clean Threads Well Production are Authorized Assistants. At Clean Threads we can easily adapt to each client's unique vegetation control needs. From picking mayweed, to broadleaf and thistle control in ditches, to total kill in plant yards, well sites and new drills with spoil piles - we look forward to working together with you to create an integrated vegetation management program.

What We Do

Our Services
Pest Control

Industrial Pesticide Application

Here at Clean Threads Well Production we utilize modern GPS tracking in all of our tractor sprayer units. This has proven to be by far the most precise way to apply pesticide in the oilfield. Because of this system we do not use dye in our sprayer tanks. This combined with the fact that our tractors leave a small footprint means that we leave each job site looking as presentable as it did when we arrived.

Our custom GPS tracks also allow us to create extremely detailed Pesticide Application Records without any guesswork or measuring locations before or after the job is completed. Our tractors record the area sprayed in real time and saves the tracks for us to place on our P.A.R.s. These records are E-mailed to the customer after the job is completed. An example of our GPS tracks can be seen below.

These records also contain the operator(s) responsible for the spraying, the date and time in which the spraying took place, an accurate measurement of the weather, wind and wind direction during this time, a description of the weeds on site, the total area as well as the amount of chemical used, any damaged vegetation, a list of potential sensitive areas, any slope/drainage concerns, any factors affecting the chemical's efficacy, as well as the soil texture and moisture level. Check out the Downloads/Links page for a sample P.A.R.

We fully understand that no two job sites are ever the same, which is why we are committed to completing a comprehensive Field Level Hazard Assessment for every location, available via pdf or paper by request.

We are committed to providing top quality vegetation control services for all of our customers. We currently eradicate weeds near Camrose, Killam, Sedgewick, Lougheed, Hardisty, Wainwright, Provost, Viking, Irma, Mannville, Vermilion, Elk Point, St. Paul, Bonnyville, Cold Lake, Sherwood Park, Hanna, Castor, Coronation and Consort.

What We Use

Our Equipment

We are outfitted with two self-sufficient all terrain spray rigs. Each rig is mated to a trailer, having enough water for each unit to easily cover 50 acres per eight hours on right-of-ways and pipelines. Each tractor has six  independent, electronically activated, hydraulic booms and boom extenders (18 foot boomless nozzles). These quick adapting hydraulic booms are imperative, to efficiently eradicate weeds on soil piles and berms. These tractors are the safest way to apply pesticide in an industrial setting, as they have a relatively low travel speed and sealed cabins. Each tractor has the ability to spray a swath between 7 feet and 60 feet. The width of this swath can be adjusted by the operator on the fly.

Our newest tractor unit is equipped with rubber tracks on the front and back. We have found that this unit has the ability to go nearly anywhere that it is needed. We have also discovered that it leaves almost no footprint and is most agile on side hills.

The truck sprayer has a front mounted boom, capable of spraying it's own 8 foot track and/or reach across 36 feet of ditch.

Each of our sprayers is equipped with hose and hand-spraying gun. However we also employ a dedicated hand-spray 4x4 truck for those remote and high mileage regions. It is capable of distributing herbicide or pesticide to more than 7 acres between fills.

This small but flexible fleet allows us to perform any task required, while passing the savings on to our friends.

All Mowers, Sprayers and Trucks run on diesel and are all equipped with automatic positive air shutoffs.
